Sam Pollock
Chief Executive Officer

Sam is Senior Managing Partner and Head of Infrastructure Activities. Sam is responsible for the expansion of our infrastructure operating platform. Sam joined Brookfield's financial services operation in 1994 and has held various senior positions in the organization, including leadership of the company's financial advisory services and investment group. Sam is a Chartered Accountant and holds a business degree from Queen's University.

Bahir Manios
Chief Financial Officer

Bahir is Chief Financial Officer of the Brookfield Infrastructure Group and has overall responsibility for corporate finance, reporting, tax and treasury activities. Bahir joined Brookfield in 2004, and began his career at one of the big four accounting firms, where he worked in the assurance and business advisory practice. A graduate of the school of business and economics at Wilfrid Laurier University in 2001, Bahir is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Justin Beber
Managing Partner

Justin has overall responsibility for corporate operations across Brookfield’s infrastructure group and is responsible for transaction execution. Prior to joining Brookfield in 2007, Justin was a partner with a leading Toronto-based business law firm, where his practice focused on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions in the public capital markets and private equity transactions. Justin earned his combined MBA/LLB from York University’s Schulich School of Business and Osgoode Hall Law School.

Jim Reid
Chief Investment Officer, Energy

Jim is based in Calgary, where he is responsible for Brookfield’s energy lending business and for originating, evaluating and structuring investments and financings in the energy sector and overseeing operations in Brookfield Infrastructure’s energy segment. Jim established Brookfield’s Calgary office in 2003 after spending several years as a Chief Financial Officer for two oil and gas exploration and production companies in Western Canada. Jim obtained his Chartered Accountant designation at Price WaterhouseCoopers in Toronto and holds a Bachelor of Arts (Commerce) from the University of Toronto.

Rick Eng
Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer, Transportation

Rick is responsible for originating, evaluating and structuring investments and financings in the transportation sector and overseeing operations in Brookfield Infrastructure’s transportation segment. Rick joined Brookfield in 2006 and has held a number of senior roles. Most recently, as a senior member of the private equity team, Rick was Chief Financial Officer of a Brookfield portfolio company. Prior to joining Brookfield, he spent eight years in investment banking and private equity. Rick graduated from Queen’s University and subsequently qualified as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA).

Reid Carter
Managing Partner, Timberlands

Reid is based in Vancouver, where he is responsible for the timberlands management strategy at Brookfield and is focused on the acquisition and management of private timberlands. Since establishing Brookfield’s Vancouver office in 2003, Reid has led the acquisition of over 3.0 million acres of private timberlands in North and South America and leads the teams responsible for the management and operations of Brookfield’s timberlands platform. Reid holds a Master of Science in soil science from the University of British Columbia and is a British Columbia Registered Professional Forester.
