We leverage the expertise across the Brookfield Property Group to offer real estate equity and debt investment strategies that aim to achieve superior, long-term, risk-adjusted returns. Our long history of strategic, deep-value investing, and expertise in corporate restructuring provides a strong basis for us to create value, and has been central to our investment approach.

Strategic Real Estate Partners I & II
Vintage: 2012/2016
Invests opportunistically in commercial property, with an emphasis on North America, Europe, Brazil and Australia. The funds target positions of control or influence in direct properties, property companies, distressed loans and securities with a focus on multi-faceted distressed property turnarounds and recapitalizations.

Real Estate Turnaround Program
Vintage: 2009

Invests in equity and debt in undervalued property companies or property portfolios where value can be created for stakeholders in a variety of ways, including financial and operational restructuring, strategic direction or sponsorship, portfolio repositioning, redevelopment or other active asset management.

Real Estate Opportunity
I & II 
Vintage: 2006/2007
Invests in underperforming properties in North America, including office, retail and multifamily, with the objective of creating value through active management and capital expenditure and financing initiatives.

Provides tailored financing solutions through property and corporate loans primarily in the U.S., and invests in property finance transactions in risk positions senior to traditional equity and subordinate to traditional first mortgages or investment grade corporate debt.

(DTLA) Fund

Vintage: 2013
Acquired a portfolio in Downtown Los Angeles composed of seven Class A office properties totaling
8.7 million square feet, a newly redeveloped retail complex and a strategically located development site.
Brookfield Fairfield U.S. Multifamily Value Add Fund I & II
Vintage: 2011/2013
Invests in undervalued or underperforming multifamily apartment properties in infill or supply-constrained locations suitable for renovation, reposition and operational turnaround.
Brazil Retail Property Fund Vintage: 2006 Acquired and developed direct equity investments and manages a portfolio of premier Brazilian property shopping center and regional mall assets.  
U.S. Office Fund
Vintage: 2006
Acquired a portfolio of 43 premier office properties, totaling 27 million square feet. The properties are located in key markets, including New York, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Houston and San Diego, and are driven by financial services, government and energy sector tenants.
Canadian Office Fund 
Vintage: 2005
Acquired a portfolio of office properties in supply-constrained markets, including Toronto, Calgary and Ottawa with the strategy to divest the non-core properties and optimize the returns on the core properties through operational efficiencies. The portfolio includes the landmark First Canadian Place, Canada’s tallest office building.
