Sir Ron Kalifa
Sir Ron Kalifa is Vice Chair and Head of Financial Infrastructure investing in Brookfield’s Private Equity Group. In this role, he is responsible for Brookfield’s financial infrastructure investment strategy which focuses on identifying opportunities in digital assets and services that form the backbone of the global economy.
Prior to joining Brookfield in 2023, Sir Ron served as CEO of Worldpay, a leading global payments platform for over a decade, overseeing its divestment into private equity ownership and subsequently to IPO. In 2021, he led the Kalifa Review of U.K. Fintech, a government-commissioned independent review which defined a strategy and delivery model for fintech and high-growth sectors of the economy. Throughout his career, he has held senior roles in finance across the U.K., Europe, and the U.S.
Sir Ron is an alumnus of Harvard Business School. He also serves as a senior independent director on the Bank of England’s Court of Directors, a member of the Council of Imperial College London, a Trustee of the Royal Foundation, and a Non-Executive Director for the England and Wales Cricket Board and InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG).
