Isagen owns and operates a high-quality, irreplaceable portfolio of primarily hydro assets in Colombia. The portfolio consists of six hydro plants, including Colombia's largest hydro facility and reservoir, generating over 14,500 gigawatt-hours of renewable power. That is enough to power eight million households, which accounts for about 20% of the country's annual production.
The company has a stable and diverse contracted customer base and is a key contributor to Colombian social and environmental projects. Isagen benefits from Brookfield's experience of owning and operating renewable power assets worldwide in a safe, efficient manner.

Since our acquisition of the business in 2016, Isagen has executed several strategic initiatives that will provide additional growth opportunities. In 2021, the company signed the acquisition of its first two solar generation projects, which when complete, should add 138 megawatts of capacity. The company is also developing its first wind farm, with an installed capacity of 20 megawatts that is expected to be completed in 2022. These projects mark a new era for Isagen. By diversifying its energy matrix, the company will become more resilient to climate change and contribute increasingly to Colombia's energy transition.
