Renewable Power & Transition

Renewable Power & Transition

We are one of the world's largest investors in renewable power and transition assets and have almost 34,000 megawatts of generating capacity.

We operate across five continents, managing a diverse portfolio of hydro, wind, solar, distributed energy, storage and sustainable solutions.

We use our operating capabilities, scale and global reach to develop and operate a high-quality clean energy portfolio in a responsible manner, helping accelerate the global transition to net zero.

Our business is underpinned by stable cash flows, with the majority of our power sold to corporate and industrial customers, public power authorities and utilities under long-term, inflation-linked contracts.

Portfolio Highlights

Holtwood

Holtwood’s hydro stations have 296 megawatts of capacity, enough to power more than 100,000 homes each year.

Brookfield Wind Turbines

Using the existing site and towers, we replaced the turbines with the latest technology to increase power output by 30%.

Solar panels

X-Elio has constructed more than 3,000 megawatts of capacity on four continents, with more in development.

Distributed Generation

We own and operate one of the world’s largest distributed solar and onsite storage platforms, with assets across Europe, Asia Pacific, and North and South America.

Entropy Carbon Capture

Entropy plans to remove and permanently store carbon dioxide from a gas plant in Alberta at a rate of 200,000 tons per year by the end of 2023.
