In 2022, we announced a strategic investment in Entropy to scale up its market-leading, low-cost carbon capture services business. With Brookfield’s support, Entropy completed the world’s first commercial scale natural gas-derived post-combustion CCS project at the Glacier natural gas processing plant in Alberta, Canada.

The sequestration well for the Glacier Phase 1 project is fully operational and expected to mitigate up to 54,000 tons of carbon dioxide per year, and progress continues on the Glacier Phase 2 project.
